As facilities grow, the standby emergency generators of the main power system often become limited in the ability to fully supply the load. New additions are equipped with essential and non-essential distribution systems requiring an ESAC EPLU (Emergency Power Logic Unit) to ensure critical electric loads are maintained.   Visual indication for the safety of resident students is essential under all electrical conditions. An existing system did not properly perform, poorly documented and had to be replaced. ESAC was contracted to design/develop/implement an EPLU for a reliable system.

Located in downtown Toronto, this showcase building houses floors of banking data centre equipment. ESAC, as a subcontractor to Schneider Electric, provided an integrated system of both medium and low voltage protection and EPLU for management of non-essential loads and emergency generators capacity.   A new facility with non-essential electric heating and ancillary loads.
